AstroFlex Power builds lightweight, plug-and-play solar arrays for spacecraft.
Our systems are designed to be compact, easy to integrate, and scalable for a wide range of missions — enabling faster development, lower cost, and higher performance in space.

Flexible silicon solar cells are laminated onto ultra-lightweight blankets and deployed using a simple, low-mass deployment concept.

There are no rigid panels, no hinges, and no complex mechanisms.

This results in:

    • Up to 10× lower mass

    • Up to 100× smaller stowed volume

    • Lower launch and system cost

AstroFlex Power collaborates with you to develop a mission-tailored solar array solution, including system sizing and deployment concepts, for spacecraft from CubeSats to large platforms across LEO, MEO, GEO, lunar surface, and beyond.

The picture below shows the current status of the AstroFlex Power MVP, measured power density: 175 W/kg (42W @ 238g). We are looking for early adopters 😉

Our next development target is a 3kWp solar array based on the in-house developed blanket frame lightweight architecture. Based on upscaling of the current prototyping hardware our target power density is 250 – 300 W/kg.
